Raben expands its presence in Ukraine

Raben Ukraine is expanding the geography of its services. From now on customs clearance of cargoes will be done not only in Kyiv but also in Lviv thanks to the opening of a new direction in transportation of groupage cargoes between the EU and Ukraine: Chlebnia (near Warsaw) - Lviv.

Until recently, the international line of the company operated only on Chlebnia - Kyiv route. This was the main stream of groupage cargoes with a final destination in Velyka Dymerka (Kyiv region), where the first customs terminal of Raben Ukraine is located. It is a state-of-the-art and high-tech facility equipped with the system of electronic registration of the vehicle and cargo. There is also a video system that covers the entire territory of the terminal. The access control system is in due place. i.e. vehicle registration number is read automatically and electronic scales remit the registration number and the total weight of the vehicle to electronic documents.

“Launching a separate groupage line and providing customs clearance in Lviv terminal is about bringing in additional convenience for our existing and potential customers. From now on, the transit time to the customs will be reduced. Immediately after crossing the customs border and break-bulk at Lviv depot, which is just nearby the terminal, the cargo will be delivered to any point in Ukraine within 24 hours by the domestic distribution network of our company” — comments Svetlana Shypil, International Distribution Director at Raben Ukraine.
